Part of the reason I’ve been such an uneven blogger the last few months owes to never having been part of two exhibits at the same time. Yes, yes, you’re grateful and excited and gratified – and then you actually have to make it happen. So you start to look a little more like the squirrel in Ice Age than yourself, obsessing over everything. People stop recognizing you. You do not leave the studio. You consider drinking your meals through a straw, to save all that extra time that chewing takes up.

But then, finally, the shows!
I’m a part of New x Three,  with Eleanor Annand, Charles Keiger, Brad Sells, and Tom Sheilds, at Blue Spiral 1, the beautiful gallery in Asheville, North Carolina. I had visited Blue Spiral a few years ago with my great friend Joyce, who lives not too far away, and saw work there by artists I had admired so deeply, the kind of work, when you’re examining it, makes everything go quiet around you and inside you. So the idea that they will be showing my own work there, well, you can figure.
I am elated.

    Oh, Amy!!!
    New Orbs!!!!
I was just thinking about them this morning… wishing I had a Collection of them…. because they are all so unique… A “Horton Hears A Who” world…. a Fungus Spore on Steroids…. A piece of the Natural world shrunk down to a few essential elements…. a Kaleidoscope in three dimensions…. The Pom-pom as Faberge…. What can I say… they Intrigue Me!!!
    Congratulations on Both these Exhibits!!!
(If only it did not require a Marathon to get there….!)
